The Central Office for Teaching Evaluation compiles questionnaire-based procedures for the evaluation of teaching and applies them throughout the University of Jena. Each semester, approximately 800 courses are evaluated with about 18,000 questionnaires to be evaluated (here you can find an overview of the evaluation volume of the past semesters). The aim of the course evaluation is to provide lecturers with well-founded feedback on their courses. In addition, the results should support the dialogue between lecturers and students. The results and discussions provide lecturers with the opportunity to identify the strengths and weaknesses of their individual teaching behavior. In addition, they receive feedback and suggestions for the further development of their teaching.
